Nancy is an experienced
lecturer having lectured in 6
countries around the globe on
a variety of topics mostly
related to infection
prevention and control.
Nancy has made over thirty trips to
Japan for lecturing and hospital
consultation related to the
prevention of infection, especially
urinary tract infection. She is also
the coordinator of the IPC
Classroom, a comprehensive infection
prevention and control course for
nurses in Japan, sponsored by
Medicon, Inc. Nancy was the guest
lecturer for six regional workshops
in The United Kingdom to promote
performance improvement and clinical
governance sponsored by ICNA, Thames
Valley University and Bard UK. At
the invitation of the Canadian
Ministry of Health, Nancy consulted
with one of the four hospitals in
the SARS crisis in Toronto, Canada
in August of 2003. Nancy helped
draft the Nebraska Strategic Plan
for the Prevention of Antimicrobial
Resistance (2002). She was as a
member of the task force to Develop
Guidelines for Management of
Multi-drug Resistant Organisms for
health care institutions in Nebraska
(2005). Nancy is the

(launched April 2005) to inform and
instruct parents, adults, and
children in the prevention of
infection at home, at school and in
the workplace.
Nancy has held several professional
offices including National APIC
Board of Directors, National APIC
Nominating Committee, President of
her local APIC Chapter, Chair of
National APIC Marketing/Public
Relations Committee. Nancy was the
1992 recipient of the Carole DeMille
Achievement Award from the
Association for Practitioners in
Infection Control.
